Window Unit Air Conditioner Causes House Fire

An electrical outlet with a window unit air conditioner plug into it shorted out and caused a fire.
It is extremely important to make sure that the plug outlet you are using has sold wire connections. Also make sure that circuit that it is on will carry the electrical draw necessary for a long period of time. It would be a good idea to check all of the plug outlets on the circuit too. Any loose connection on the circuit may cause you many headaches later.
